Testování zabezpečení a výpočetních prostředků Jihočeské univerzity
URBÁNEK, Jan
The bachelor's thesis focuses on determining the current state of security of computing resources and the overall technical security at the University of South Bohemia. To determine this state, intelligence gathering and vulnerability analysis of web-application servers is performed, and a questionnaire is created to determine the level of technical security among students. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to compare this information with world-famous security methodologies and to propose changes to improve the cyberspace at JCU.
Analýza zranitelnosti MQTT protokolu s důrazem na chybnou implementaci brokerů
FILIP, Ondřej
The master thesis deals with the identification and analysis of vulnerabilities in the implementation of the MQTT protocol with a focus on the central node of the communication system called the broker. Theoretical background and a survey of the current state of security of public brokers provide knowledge used to create a methodological approach to vulnerability analysis. The focus of this analysis is the insufficiently secure deployment of the broker. For identified vulnerabilities and classified threats, specific security measures are designed and recommended to help create sufficiently secure MQTT applications. The final comparative analysis of brokers provides the basis for selecting a suitable implementation of the broker.
Vulnerability analysis of climate change impacts in the city of Prague
Lorencová, Eliška ; Emmer, Adam ; Geletič, Jan ; Vačkář, David
Climate change is one of the key challenges of the 21st century, both in terms of adaptation as well as mitigation. The aim of this research was, following the Adaptation Strategy of the City of Prague, to prepare the background analysis for the Adaptation Action Plan, focusing on vulnerability assessment. The vulnerability asssessment focused on the climate change impacts related to: (i) temperature extremes - heatwaves, (ii) insufficient rainwater retention and extreme rainfall. The approach included spatially-specific analysis using ArcGIS based on climatic, land use and socio-economic indicators for the current status and future RCP 4.5 and RCP 8.5 scenarios. Regarding vulnerability to heatwaves, the most affected areas are located in the city center (Prague 2, Prague 3, Prague 6, Prague 7, Prague 1) and some peripheral areas with industrial buildings (e.g. Libeň or Štěrboholy). Vulnerability to extreme precipitation and insufficient rainwater retention was highest particularly at the confluence of the Vltava and Berounka (Velká Chuchle, Prague 16, Zbraslav and Lipence).

One of the preconditions for successful planning is to estimate the risk of flood damage with regard to the construction resilience and constituent materials of historical objects. The output of this phase is software application and methodology for classifying the rate risk of specific constructions and materials and a reasonable estimate of risk diversification in different parts of the building. A special attention is paid to prevention and it tends to recommend suitable measures for different situations.
